Going to try to keep these short and sweet.
Forum Rules
1. Keep your language under control. There's no built-in censorship and I'm not making a no-swearing rule, but there's a line. Emphasis - acceptable. Gratuitousness or shock value - unacceptable. This is relaxed when writing dialogue for a character who's based on shock value.
2. Keep your attitude under control. If you're pissed off with somebody, don't post. One of the advantages of forum-based communication is that you can stand back and cool off for a bit before responding. Use that!
3. Don't sell things. Really. You can't have our money, and we don't want your services, so don't ask. I'll ban for this.
Game Rules
1. If you're a player in a given game, only post for your characters. If you're a GM, don't post for the players' characters.
2. Six characters are set aside for use by the organization's administration staff. Three - Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman - are in this category because of their nature as icons. Darkseid is essentially the Big Bad of the entire DC Universe. Oracle is incredibly valuable as a way to move plots. Finally, there's plans for Bruce Wayne. Big plans.
3. Talk to the GM for a given game before injecting your character into it. This is a shared universe, which means characters can be moved between games, but having a random hero or villain step into a story would be annoying.
4. Character's not yours 'till it's on the character list. If there's a character you want to play, fill out the Character Application here.
5. GMs can use characters who aren't on the character list.
6. Your original characters are yours. If you leave, the most we'll do with them is to write them out in some elegant manner; we won't reopen them to be taken over by others. Canon characters, though, will be reopened for new players to take over should their current player leave or go inactive.
I think that's it!
