Back in the Alley, Back in the day.
"I appreciate the warning, Kitten." Catwoman purred as Wayne took another punch at her. This time she grabbed his fist as it was flying towards her chin and stopped it cold. "But you'll find that this cat ain't a soft housecat, dearie." She tightened her grip on his fist, sending pain up his arm. Catwoman than twisted his arm, forcing him to turn around. Placing her knee in the small of his back, she forced the man to the floor and hissed in his ear.
"Now, spill Kitten. Why you all hung up on beatin' the Gray Ghost? Setting an ambush ain't very fair, and I am mighty upset about it." As she hissed, she pulled up on his arm, causing intense pain in his shoulder. "If you don't speak. ." She brandished the claws on her other hands and flashed them before Wayne's eyes. "You'll find out how nasty I can be."
Warehouses
"So what are you, a size extra dumb?" Tim jabbed, ducking a punch from Solomon, and kicking the zombie in his knee, causing him to fall to the ground. "Come on, Ole Man. I've got some pants for you."
He continued to make light jabs, keeping Grundy's attention on him as he slowly led the man into the warehouse.
Arkham Forest
Reed smirked, his red eyes glinting in the low light. "Huh, you know what? I don't know if I burn. I bet Freeze does though." He commented as he ducked the firethrower blast and surged towards Firebug. "Didn't Smokey the Bear teach you to not start forest fires?" He quipped as he slammed the end of his Nth gun into Firebug's gut.

Outsiders Headquarters
Oracle started out of the elevator, hands reaching behind her for her fighting sticks, when she saw the figure that had entered through the main door.
Jonathan Crane, wearing his cloth mask, stalked through the lobby. Barbara quickly moved to back her chair away, but Scarecrow, hearing her move, turned to face her. "Thought I was alone... and I will be soon enough."
Barbara let her fear show, speaking softly. "I... I was just leaving... you don't have to..."
The Past
Batwoman threw the female bandit to the ground, kicking her pistol away, while Grey Ghost finally finished knocking Walt out. Wayne whimpered quietly before speaking. "It was the boss! He told us Grey Ghost had to be taken down before tomorrow... that we couldn't have him interfering with the plan!"
Grey Ghost looked toward Wayne, though not before spending a long moment gazing at Catwoman. "I know what Terra-Man is planning to do, but not how. Mr. Lincoln is coming into town on the early stage, and giving a speech at Zachary Wayne's orphanage opening. Terra-Man plans to kill him... hand the election to Breckinridge. The question, then, is how." He gazed at Wayne through his goggles until the gunman broke down and started sobbing and speaking very quickly indeed.
Outsiders HQ
Solomon Crane smirked. I was in Arkham too long... no one there is afraid of me. But here... I can taste it from her. She's the one Joker shot... she knows just what terror tastes like, and letting her relive it..." He released his gas, moving forward.
Arkham Forest
Firebug grunted, falling back, grasping his torso in pain as he went down. Freeze watched Reed take Firebug down, then smirked slightly, raising his freeze ray. "The weapons of the Thanagarians are powerful, as are you... but unlike my companions, I feel no need to kill you, and I have the means to win this engagement. By the time you are mobile again, you and I will be rid of one another." He then began to fire, in a wide arc.
Outsiders HQ
Barbara fought not to breathe, fumbling for her gas mask as the fear gas filled the room.
The door. Know what's on the other side. Girl moving toward it. Don't open it. Don't open it. She doesn't know. Reaching for the door. A crack. Hawaiian shirt. Why was he even wearing that? Ridiculous hat. The gun... the gun. Look at the girl. Know it's...
It's not me. It's Helena. It's Amanda. It's Dinah. It's Cassandra. It's Kara. It's Stephanie.
"No."
She shoved the gas mask into place, taking a deep breath of the filtered air it offered just as Scarecrow reached her, and brought her fighting sticks to bear.
Uptown
Riot dodged Booster's attack to the left and the right at the same time he got hit with it. The copy that took the hit fell back, reeling, while the other two leapt onto Booster, dividing again and trying to overbear him.
Canary pressed her attack against her copy, only to have it divide as well, with one of the copies going after Torch. She called out, "How many times can he split?"
Outsiders HQ
The fog of the fear gas hid Scarecrow's prey from him, yet he advanced confidently - even without the gas, the girl in the wheelchair would be helpless against him, and with it he could kill her at will.
And then her chair burst forward, and a steel fighting stick caught Crane in the gut. A second slapped across his wrist, shattering the delicate bones. He reeled back, and Barbara Gordon pressed her attack, striking Crane's elbows and knees, breaking one knee and sending him falling to the ground, writhing in pain. One last blow and he was unconscious. Barbara tapped her communicator. "Outsiders report that Scarecrow is neutralized."

The Past Catwoman had held the Gray Ghost's gaze as long as he allowed her too, than she forced herself to get back to the matter at hand. Leaning down, she put her ear near Wayne's face, shining her claws again. "Looks like I'm going to need you to slow down, kitten. I can't understand what you're saying. And believe me, you want me to understand." She flexed her fingers as she spoke. Arkham Forest As the ice flew towards him, Reed timed his jump. Leaping off the ground just before the ice would of hit him. Doing a flip in the air, Reed came down hard on Mr. Freeze, striking Mr.Freeze's helmet with the end of his Nth rifle, causing hairline cracks to appear. Reed than landed behind the man, turning swiftly to deliver another blow with the rifle to the small of Freeze's back. "Your problem is, you're too slow." Uptown Booster dodged attacks from both Riots, and swung out, striking one with his fist and shooting a laser at another. "I wasn't aware he had a limit! Never really thought about it either." Skeets bobbed around. "Shouldn't his replicas grow weaker the more he splits, sir?" Booster ducked and dodged again as Riot split yet again and he was quickly surrounded. "I dunno, why don't you ask him!?"

The Past
Wayne blinked, fear growing in his face. "Tomorrow night, when the candidate gives his speech... key word is 'safe.' When he says it, Terra-man pulls the trigger. Don't know where the nest is... please don't kill me."
Grey Ghost smirked. "We're not going to kill you." His tone was... not comforting.
Arkham Forest
Freeze grunted. "And you are overconfident. Yet... so is he." He lowered his weapon. "In which case, I suggest a parley. I have some notes in a laboratory that I am reasonably certain has not been disturbed... research. Medical research; I still engage in that when I have time. Agree to copy them, send one copy to Gotham University's research department in my name and the other to me. Do so, and I will both surrender to you and give you some information which you might find useful. Do not, and we can spend the remainder of the evening attempting to incapacitate one another... stealing your time from more valuable things you could be doing."
Warehouses
"Solomon Grundy want PANTS!" Grundy charged Red Robin, swinging wildly, and the two made their way into the warehouse. Once Grundy was in position, Batgirl called out, "Clear!"
Grundy paused a moment. "Like Sprite?"
Then Batgirl fired off her glue gun, a charge of gelled explosive hitting the column. A touch to a button on the side of the gun set it off, knocking the support beam aside and bringing the ceiling down on Grundy. She quickly ran to get an angle to see Red Robin from, to make sure he was all right.
Uptown
If Riot got weaker with each split, he certainly didn't get lighter, and it was weight he was using as a weapon - two copies of him now had ahold of Skeets, trying to hold the little robot down, while eight piled on Booster and six attempted to overbear Black Canary. Another two held onto the back of Canary's motorcycle as Dove tried to drive it to somewhere she could safely use her powers from, one of them splitting again before a copy started trying to climb toward the bike's seat.
Downtown
Question, Hawk, Huntress, and Jack rushed into a gun store, just in time to find Mad Hatter placing a hat on the last of the store's employees. He looked up. "Ah, and here's the law now." He smirked. "It's certainly not my birthday. I wonder if it's any of theirs?"
Mr. Zsasz stood from where he was reclining against the wall, pulling out a knife, as Question spoke softly to the others. "Hate getting shot at by people who aren't themselves, and who I have to be careful not to hurt."
Hawk laughed. "I'll be careful!" He then leapt into the air, landing with his chin mere inches from Zsasz's forehead, and delivered a bone-breaking punch to the man's chest. The villain went down hard, and Hawk shrugged. "Not careful enough."
Then the gun store's employees and customers opened fire on the team.

The Arkham Forest
Reed relaxed as well, and nodded. "Of course. I have heard good things about some of your research. Give me directions to the lab, and you've got yourself a deal." He reached out to shake Mr. Freeze's hand.
Warehouses
Red Robin had just managed to jump out of range of the rubble, and brushed himself off. He smiled up at Stephanie. "A little overly anxious weren't we? Not that it matters. Got the job done. Contact Oracle and tell her to send a clean up crew and to give us our next objective. Would be nice to finish this up tonight."
He kicked a random rock, and it bounced until it landed ontop of the rubble that had landed on Grundy. Tim could not control his grin. "I expect we'll be getting some good news soon, and I would like a chance to wash up before than."
Selena, I know you're going after him. Bring him back, he'll come back for you I am sure of it. Just don't let your damn pride get in the way.
Uptown
Claire's eyes went wide. They're getting overwhelmed.. I've got to do something. She glanced around, noticing an eletronics store nearby whose window had been smashed by the ongoing fight. I'm not a looter, but... A smirk crossed her face. I can help.
She jumped inside of the electronics store, and in what seemed like minutes, she crawled back out again. In her hands were two strange looking devices. One had a rod attached to a vaguely battery looking thing. The other was a simple blackberry smart phone with a rather bulky speaker attached to the back.
Suddenly, as Booster Gold watch Riot split again, Claire dashed into the middle of the fray and waved to get Canary's attention. With a well placed throw, she threw the leggy blonde what resembled a bluetooth head piece. "PUT IT ON! USE THE CRY!" Claire shouted as she barely managed to dodge a random Riot who had headed her way. She than struck out with the rod and sent a jolt of electricity through the villain.
Downtown
Huntress ducked down, avoiding the initial firing. Moving quickly, she sprinted behind a few of the customers and hit them on the back of the neck with solid chops. Just knocked unconcious, the customers fell to the floor.
"Damnit.'' Jack Houston muttered. He inched his way behind the supers, and jumped behind the counter. I don't think that crazy man is expecting much from me. After all, I am the only one wearing pants. Besides Renee. But that's besides the point. There is a good thing that comes from wearing pants.
As he stalked behind the counter, he slowly removed his leather belt from his jeans. Forming a garrote with it, he waited until the right moment than lept to his feet and threw closed the belt around Hatter's neck. "Its my birthday, actually. And this.." He whispers in Hatter's ear as he tightens the belt, constricting airflow. "Is EXACTLY what I had wished for. Now call your goons off. You're coming with me."

Uptown
Canary caught it and tried to get it into her ear for a moment - struggling against ten Riots the entire time - before just moving it close to her mouth and unleashing the Cry.
From Claire's Blackberry the sound ripped outward, a pulsing wave of raw energy. Dove leapt from the motorcycle to take cover behind a car whose windows exploded. So did the windows of every building within more than a hundred feet. A stop sign bent in half.
And more than four dozen copies of Riot were brought to their knees, shaking in agony, merging into one which curled into a ball in the middle of the battlefield to be cuffed by Canary. Canary then looked up, toward Claire. "Good move... you all right?"
Downtown
Question managed to disarm the clerk and assistant manager with her thrown needles, and Tetch made a whimpering sound before shakily pulling his hat off. The customers and employees blinked, the few who weren't disarmed dropping their weapons, Hawk stopping just short of pulling a gun out of someone's hand. Hawk looked to Jack. "Hey... you've got spunk, cop. I'll buy you a drink."

Uptown
Booster Gold shook his head as he pulled himself to his feet. "Nice going, ma'am! Really gave that guy a nice ass whoopin'." He glanced from Canary to Claire. "Though, I'm not sure if I condone a little girl getting into the middle of things like that."
Claire's face flushed red with anger as she narrowed her eyes and advanced on Booster before she even replied to Canary. "If I hadn't of lent a hand, you guys would be fighting at least three dozen of those guys by now, and a few dozen more would be reeking havoc all over Gotham! You could at least try to be a bit grateful for the hand, like Ms. Canary over there!! And another thing, I am NOT A LITTLE GIRL!" She shouted in the face of Booster Gold who looked quite shocked.
Skeets let out a trill that sounded almost like a giggle. "She's quite right sir. Without her help, you would of be .. how do you say it... in deep water?"
Booster grinned, smoothing his hair back and taking Claire's hand in his. "Of course. My apologies, Mi'Lady. It seems as though I do need a lesson in manners. Forgive me, just this once?"
Claire's face turned beet red, for a whole different reason altogether as Booster Gold lifted her hand and brought it to his lips. "O.. of course..."
Downtown
After cuffing Tetch, Jack turned to look at Hawk, giving him an exhausted grin. "Sounds good, but make it more than one. After a night like tonight, I don't want to be sober in the morning." He rubbed his shoulder, finally noticing the pain. Apparently he had been shot in the shoulder before he had a chance to duck behind the counter.
"But first.. Some first aide?" He asks, as blood begins to seep through his jacket and become aware to everyone.

Downtown
Question and Hawk were hitting their communicators at the same moment.
"Tot, ambulance to Union Arms! Officer down!"
"Oracle, ambulance to my position. Casualty."
Question made her way over to check on Jack, looking at the wound. "Doesn't look too bad. I got worse than this doing a traffic stop on Cluemaster."
Near Dawn House Blackhawk
The Blackhawk Estate was once co-owned by all members of the Blackhawk mercenary group, but as the only one left Lady Blackhawk now held full ownership. As she didn't maintain a secret identity and the estate's location was public knowledge, it was the perfect place for a large-scale meeting that included two people from outside the vigilante community.
Yet there was one identity that wasn't going to survive this intact, and its holder had decided that those involved in the long night of battle deserved to see the person who had organized them directly. So, once they were assembled, Barbara Gordon wheeled into the room, looking over all of them, eyes pausing a moment on Jack Houston and Claire Westchester. "No deaths, less than twenty civilian injuries, only a hundred thousand dollars in damage, and every single villain who made trouble during the night caught. I say this in all honesty, as someone who knows them all very well... Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman could not have done better than we did last night. The work is not yet done, but you all deserve the rest that has arrived."
Hawk spoke first in response. "I say we don't wait. We hunt these guys down where they've gone to ground and we take them out!"
Canary shook her head. "I don't see a Kryptonian in this room, or a Green Lantern able to fuel his body by simple power of will. We don't rest, we make mistakes, and the risk of someone getting hurt in ways that don't heal is greater when we're burnt out."
Oracle nodded. "Power Girl once told me... she and her family hear everything. As she closes her eyes to go to sleep, in her bed in New York, she hears the cries of kidnapped children on the Horn of Africa, the screaming wheels of a runaway train in Osaka, the scheming of warlords in Khandia to burn another village while Black Adam sleeps in his stone tomb. And, like Superman before her, she tried to save them all, to fix it all... and simple exhaustion led to mistakes that cost more suffering than her endless crusade was able to prevent. We can't win this battle without sleep... and by night, Batman will be here to help. We wait for them to move, so we don't have to waste our limited reserves hunting while they're aground, then we hit them... plan worked tonight; it will work again." She smiled a bit to Lady Blackhawk. "Lady Blackhawk has provided beds for those who want to rest without taking the time to go home, and her staff will be preparing meals and snacks continually until dusk. Take advantage of her hospitality; she's not this generous often and her chefs are some of the best in Gotham."
Batgirl smirked. "She managed to filch one from each of Bruce Wayne and Colonel Kane."

Blackhawk's place
Jack Houston looked around at all the superheroes gathered at the table. He sighed, tilting his head back and stared at the ceiling. So Barb is this Oracle person, and organized most of this hoopla tonight. She did a good job, I admit. Daddy wouldn't be pleased to find this out, so I better keep my mouth shut. No problem at that. Looks like I've got a lot of secrets to keep. He looks around the room, eyeing every last superhero, taking in their worth. Interesting folks. Of course, most of the women are in tights. Not that I really mind, now that I have the time to sit and enjoy them. But better not let my eyes linger too long, or who knows what kind of power I'll get shoved in my face. As he pulled his glance from Canary's legs, he rolled his head over to look at Renee who was seated besides him.
"So, I think I'm crashing here. I'm supposed to be out of town anyway. And um..." He gestured over at Hawk, who had been giving him the eye. "Why does he keep looking at me like that? He does realize I am not an appetizer, right?"
Claire walked over to Barbara the moment she had stopped speaking. She threw her arms around her neck. "Barbara! I mean.. Ms. Gordon! I had no idea you were... well... famous?" She broke away, looking a bit ashamed. "I'm sorry for getting into the middle of everything.. You're not going to tell Momma or Ms. Selena are you? They'll chew me out!" Before Barbara even had a chance to finish, Claire's eyes lit up, and she focused ton Canary. "Ms. Canary! I would take the mic out of your ear, it's going to explode!" She called across the room. Canary reached up and quickly took the device out of her ear, and it indeed exploded in her hand with a faint pop sound.
"Sorry about that.. It wasn't built to really be able to withstand your cry. Glad it worked the once. I could probably whip up a longer lasting one, given the correct materials and time.."Claire Westchester began to ramble as she took the pieces from Canary and started to fiddle with them in her hands.
After Barbara had finished speaking, Tim Drake turned to Stephanie. He leaned overm whispering in Batgirl's ear. "Hey.. while the food is being cooked, will you join me outside? I want to talk to you..." He glanced around at everyone who could possibly overhear their conversation. ".. alone."
Huntress cast her eyes through the crowd, than smiled to herself. We did one heck of a job. Everyone here should be proud.
Owen Richards sat, out of his Reed form, away from the crowd. He glanced at Seelie, than at Barbara and back again. He knew he needed to talk to them both, but he wasn't sure what about. Owen was sure that Barbara would not be happy if she found out he had made a deal with Mr. Freeze. He was also upset with Barbara for sending Seelie. Heck, he was upset with Seelie for coming and that made absolutely no sense to him what so ever. He was also tired of the waiting around, the planning, the plotting. Who knows what could happen during their break?
He sighed, burying his face in his hands. However, he was also aware that inorder to keep up his facade, he needed to act human. And humans get tired. Even Batman. At least he thought so. He did not, however, have to stay here.
Owen Richards stood, and made his way to the door. Leaving without making much of a sound, Owen began his long trek home. His mind overflowing with thoughts.

Blackhawk Estate
Barbara and Seelie both saw Owen leave, but Seelie rose to her feet to talk to the others. Barbara rolled over to her. "Amanda."
Seelie stopped. "What is it?"
"Go after him." Barbara gestured toward the door.
Seelie blinked. "I don't know... what if he wants to be alone?"
Barbara shook her head. "I don't know if he does or not, but he shouldn't be alone, and it should be you or me who goes... and I'm not going to catch up with him; he'd be halfway home before I maneuvered this crowd. Get going. Just contact me after you talk to him."
Seelie nodded, inhaling deeply before heading for the door and running after Owen.
Question smiled as she saw Jack's eyes pass over Canary. "I'd be a bit careful how long you let your gaze linger there... she's got a husband back in Star City, and he can get a bit territorial... and totes a bow about. As for Hawk... I've got no idea what his deal is. This is the first time I've met him directly, outside the Crisis, and there wasn't much time for formalities then. I could introduce you to Huntress; she's worked with him and I've worked with her."
Outside
I don't often just walk to meet someone when I'm in costume. Usually it's swooping down behind them... odd feeling. Still, Batgirl followed Red Robin outside before speaking. "What do you need?"
Down the Street
I'll let fate choose on this one... don't know which route home he's taking; if I don't catch up with him by the time he gets home in spite of using magic to speed up, I'll just head to my own place. If I do, I'll talk to him. Seelie moved briskly, seeking out Owen.
The Past Home of Johnny Matches
Grey Ghost stepped through the concealed side door, gesturing Catwoman and Batwoman after him. Once inside, he regarded Batwoman a moment, sizing her up before speaking softly. "Your mask, Miss Kane."
Batwoman blinked. "How..." Her eyes then widened. "How do you know?"
Grey Ghost removed his hat, then his goggles, revealing the face of Bruce Wayne - a year older and three more tired, weathered from his time in an era without air conditioners or sunscreen. "This house has two rooms, not enough space for secret identities to remain in place. My choices are to throw you out, or reveal my own. I thought you should know that I already know yours." As he finished, Batwoman pulled off her mask and wig, revealing the pale, beautiful face and short red hair.
Bruce then looked to Catwoman. "I..." He paused. "Thank you. And... we should talk, shouldn't we?"

Blackhawk Estate
Jack looked over at Huntress and than back at Renee. "Nu-uh. She looks like she could take deal some serious damage to me, if she caught me staring at her legs when we spoke." He grinned slightly, wincing only a bit from the pain in his shoulder. "So does this mean I'm in with the in crowd?" He jokes. "Since I got invited to the party?"
Outside
Tim took a deep breath and removed his mask. He than turned to look at Stephanie. "I don't really need anything. I just want to apologize." He smiled at Batgirl's startled expression before continuing. "For awhile now, I've been.. awfully angsty. And a lot of the time I wasn't open enough with you when we were..." He paused, cheeks flushing a bit. "... together. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for that. I can't make up for it, I really can't do much about it except try to be more open in the future." He ran a hand through his hair and grinned at her again. "And say that it was nice working along side you again. I have missed my friend."
Down the Street
Owen stopped in his tracks as his nose detected a familiar scent in the air. He sighed, and turned around to greet Seelie as she landed.
"Amanda. Why did you follow me?" He asked, his face looking exsasperated and his eyes almost clouded over. "Did Barb send you after me again? I don't need a keeper." His voice was a little rougher than it should of been, but Owen couldn't help but feel angry.
The House of Johnny Matches
Catwoman tucked a hand under her mask and removed it, revealing the short black hair and beautiful face of Selena Kyle. "Yes. We should." She said, never taking her eyes off of Bruce.
"Miss Kane, I suppose it is? Excuse us, but Brucy and I have some things to discuss." She could not catch her tongue in time, and used her pet name from Bruce out of habit. She than reached out and took his hand before leading him to the other room.

Blackhawk Estate
Question shrugged. "Well, as you can see from me, you don't have to abandon sensible clothing to join the crowd, but if you don't they take your face." She touched her mask for a moment then sighed, an oddly wistful sound.
Outside
Stephanie blinked, then smiled. "Blame's not all yours, Tim... I could have been more open with you... and less prone to make mistakes you and Batman had to clean up. So I'm sorry too." She offered him a hand. "Friends?"
On the Road
Seelie opened her mouth to apologize, closed it, then got an indignant expression on her face. "So we're not allowed to worry about you? To make sure you're all right when you walk out of a place looking sad?" She paused a moment. "I wasn't honest with you, when all this started, about who I am, so I'm not sure I get to call myself your friend... but I'd like to. Let me worry and check on you?"

Oa
Green Lantern Arisia and Alpha Lantern Naga stood side-by-side, gazing at the monitering screen. Arisia spoke softly. "There usually aren't Lanterns in here continually... did the Blues tell you why they want us watching Centauri?"
Naga shook his head. "When they summoned me, they simply said that they felt a 'disturbance' from that region. Earth's Green Lanterns have been dispatched to the area, and Lantern Stewart reports that there was already a rather sizable force assembled - Purple, Indigo, Red, Blue, even Yellow Lanterns. All acting on the same impulse... something is going to happen at Alpha Centauri. And it isn't just Lanterns... the Kryptonian from the fallen universe is there as well."

Back in the Day, Gray Ghost's house
As she led Bruce into the other room, Selena could not help but notice her heart was pounding. I've finally found him, he's been alive stuck back in time this whole year. She was caught a little bit off guard when she noticed how small the bedroom was. A bed and desk seemed to be squeezed inside with hardly any walking room. Selena could help but believe that Bruce did not belong in such meager surroundings.
Looking around the room, as if looking for a place to sit down, Selena was procrastinating and trying to decide what to say. Are you alright? Your family needs you? Gotham needs you? .....I need you? The options ran through her mind as she finally gave up on finding a more decent place to sit and she sat on the edge of the bed, still holding Bruce's hand. She looked up into his dark eyes with her deep green ones. "...I'm taking you back to Gotham..." Was all that escaped her lips as her breath was stolen by her old lover's face.
Bruce sat with her, quiet for a long moment before speaking. "I knew I would be found. Logic said it would be Superman, or perhaps Hal or John... maybe, depending on where she wound up, Barbara... or, if we had lost after my... accident... Kalibek or Granny. But my heart..." Bruce smiled a bit. "I hoped it would be you."
Selena's heart skipped a beat as Bruce talked, and a joyfully smile spread across her lips. "To be honest, it was Tim who did the research to find you. I just couldn't allow anyone to be the first to see you. I've always been a tad selfish you know." She wanted to know why he wanted her to find him, she wanted him to say the words... but she couldn't bring herself to ask. It was too soon, too unfair to ask him. It would be meaningless that if she did.
Bruce looked at her for a moment, looking for words and unable to find them, before moving over to the subject he wanted to talk about least. "Did we win? After... what happened to me. Is Darkseid gone?"
Selena nodded, looking a bit grim. "From the bullet you fired, no less. Not much has been the same sense than, though. Dick is Batman now, and Hush is Bruce Wayne. Barbara has started a new super team and I have no clue what is going on with Superman." She looked at Bruce again, bringing up a hand to caress his cheek. "Gotham is surviving without you Brucy. But the people in it want you there." Selena paused for a second before speaking again. "...I want you there."
Bruce looked at Selena a moment, then smiled softly. "Selena Kyle has a habit of getting what she wants, from my understanding."
Selena broke out in a wide grin. "Oh why yes, I do, don't I?" She than leaned towards him, her hand still on his face as she brought her lips to his. A kiss that was indescribeable and over a year overdo.
When the kiss finally ended, Bruce opened his eyes slowly, then spoke softly. "I have... missed you." It is clear that he is speaking of more than just the year since the Crisis.
"I've missed you too, Bruce." She replied softly, glancing away. "...Tried as I might I could never get you out of my head... my heart." Selena took a deep breath, trying to get her emotions inorder so she could speak rationally. "...I... I want to be with you, Bruce. I don't want to worry about our egos getting in the way. I want to be the one you come home too..." Her eyes tearing up, her heart believing that her dreams seemed impossible. "I am taking you back to Gotham, to everyone else. Its up to you to decide if you're coming back to Gotham for me."
Bruce smiled a bit. "My place is a shorter commute to work, and there is plenty of space for Raheem."
Suddenly overjoyed, Selena threw her arms around Bruce's neck tackling him to the floor with a loud thud. "Alfred will be pleased." She said as she nuzzled into his neck.
Bruce fell to the floor, surprised, but a moment later a knock came at the door and Kate Kane's voice came through it. "I heard something fall. Are you two safe?"
"Yes! Thank you. I just lost control there for a second." Selena said, her cheeks beet red as she pulled herself from Bruce and stood. Offer her hand to Bruce to help him up, she smiled. "Is there anything else you want to know about Gotham? Or do you want to start putting together our plan to save the Presidential Canidate?"
Bruce smiled. "You can tell me about how things are in Gotham later... actually, one more question." He touched her hand. "Dick's been on his own most of the time for years, and I fully expect Barbara to be running the Justice League some day. But... Tim. How has he handled the last year?"
"He spent it looking for you." Selena smiled softly. "Tim seemed to go into his own little world, and for the longest time he was the only one that believed you could not be dead. He went through a pretty dark phase for awhile, but I think he'll come out of it soon. Since he was right all along."
Bruce smiled a bit. "I'll have to thank him." He rose to his feet. "We should probably include Miss Kane in our planning." Before going, he paused and turned to steal one more kiss.

On the Road
"This has nothing to do with that, Amanda. Nothing to do with whether we can be friends or not. Did you honestly come after me because you were worried? No other reason?" He asked, looking straight into her eyes. Owen Richards asked fiercely.
Outside Blackhawk Estate
Tim grinned as he took Stephanie's hand and shook it. "Always. Hey, you staying here tonight? I'm going to head for home. Gotta check with Alfred on something, catch a shower you know? Maybe enjoy the big screen since Dick and Damien won't be around."
Blackhawk Manor
Jack raised an eyebrow at Renee's sigh, not knowing of her friendship with the former Question. "Nah, I don't wanna join them. Never been much for all the attention, you know? But if you excuse me.." His eyes land on Barbara. "I see an old friend that I wanna say hi too."
Bidding adieu to Renee, Jack Houston raised himself out of his chair and made his way to Barbara, careful not to bump into anyone, especially with is wounded shoulder. "Hey there, pretty lady. Why so grim? Whatever happened to the happy-go-lucky girl I followed around with lovestruck eyes freshman year?" He asked when he was at her side.
