Warehouses
Seelie nodded. "I've got that." She gazed down at the warehouse. "Can't go where you want, stuck where you are. Your doors shall never be ajar." A soft blue glow appeared around all but the front doors, and she smirked. "It'd be easier to tear the wall down than to open the doors now. Ready?"
The Docks
Canary shook her head. "Blasting us a way into the can. We take the guards outside, then use the concussion from the blast to stun the ones inside and buy a few more moments for Reed to get here if Bane's in there, and ourselves some time to survey the opposition if he's not." She gestured. "Birds of Prey, let's move."
Gotham University
Pamela Isley made her way across the campus, surveying the area. I know one of them came this way... She and Harley had spent the night tracking down Blackgate escapees, leaving a few tied in neat green bows for the police to find. Finally, Harley pointed. "There he is... heading down those stairs!"
Ivy nodded, rushing after the man and down the stairs, toward the cellar of one of the old, unused drama buildings. Upon reaching the basement, she and Harley pursued the man through a slender corridor into a room, then Ivy skidded to a stop. "Harl. Run."
Bane rose from his seat opposite Master Shiv, turning his eyes on Ivy. "Uninvited guests. Shiv, take the blonde."
Ivy shook her head. "Harl, get out. Contact..." She flung a seed forth, releasing a creeping vine that began to enwrap Bane, slowing his charge. "Anyone!"
Harley ran, dashing up the stairs, diving out the ground-level door. She began to cast about. "Dorm!"
Outsiders HQ
Barbara's cell phone started to ring. Startled, she grabbed it. "Hello?"
A familiar voice came over the line. "Commissioner Gordon?"
"This is Barbara. Are you... Harley Quinn?"
Harley answered. "I was hoping to reach Commissioner Gordon. Batman's not in the phone book... can you call him?"
"Well... wait, what's going on?"
"Basement of the old U Theater... Bane. Bane's got Red!"
Barbara blinked. "I'll call my dad. You find somewhere safe." She hung up and tapped her communicator. "Reed, it's not any of the sites we thought. Gotham U, theater basement. He's got Ivy as a hostage."
West Side
Hawk and Dove prepared to move in on their target - an abandoned gas station. Dove shook her head. "Wait for Oracle's signal."
Hawk smirked. "Oracle, we're moving in!" He looked to Dove. "Nowhere good to hide here - we don't go now we'll be seen." Then he charged the building, ripping through its outer wall... and falling into the pit where the floor used to be, into the cellar below. When he pulled himself to his feet, he found himself staring down four wolf-men and a rhino-man. The rhino-man smirked. "We serve the Red Rock, at the will of the First, in honor of Darkseid." He then moved in to strike at Hawk.
Hawk grinned. "We'll see about that." He swiped out with one arm, easily knocking the rhinoman away and into two of his lupine friends, then felt a strong impact on his back and fell to his knees. Dove gasped at the figure that had stepped from the shadow - a tall, powerful beast with the jaws of a crocodile and the claws of a mongoose. The beast spoke softly, its eyes wild with hunger. "I need to eat..."
Dove whispered, "Famine..." She rushed forward, moving between Famine and Hawk, only to be blocked by one of the wolfmen. As Famine lowered its jaw toward Hawk's prone form, two small objects shot down, one from each side of the hole in the cellar's ceiling, exploding and sending the Horseman of Apokalips reeling backward. She looked up, to the left, and Batman and Robin stood there. On the other stood Batman, Batwoman, and Catwoman.
The second Batman spoke. "Darkseid can't hear you, Famine. And he won't be coming to save you. I saw to that myself."

Warehouses
Jack watched Seelie perform her magic with a smirk on his lips. "Nice moves you've got there sugar. Now lets give these thugs a little surprise."
Batmobile
Reed listened to Barbara's instructions, wondering momentarily who Ivy was, but decided not to worry about it. Gotham U. That's not too far from here. Come on, lets see what you can do.
He revved the engine of the Batmobile and it thundered down the road. Upon reaching the campus, Reed did not bother finding a place to park, instead he drove across the campus green, rolled down the driver's side window, and shot a Nth blast of green energy right into the theather's wall leaving him an entrance big enough to get the Batmobile through. Parking it on stage, Reed lept out. If I remember correctly, theather basement is right under the stage. Using his memory of when he attended Gotham U, Reed quickly found the basement and blast the door open with another shot of his gun. Not bothering to be subtle, Reed charged into the room, his fangs gleaming and his eyes red with anger. He noticed that Bane had been entangled by a strong vine, and he saw Ivy in the corner. "You Ivy? I'm your backup." He said to her, than he charged the slowed down Bane and hit him in the face with the butt of his weapon. "Yo, not so pretty boy. I know the lass is cute and all, but your fight is with me."
Abandoned Gas Station
Catwoman couldn't help but smirk with pride as she once again stood along side Batman, her Batman. The only difference was this time they were on the same side and she was never going to let him get away.
Jumping down, she shoot a smile over at Dick and Damien. "Good to see you. Brought you guys a present." One of the wolfmen charged her, but was stopped dead in his tracks as she threw her bola around his chest and sent him crashing to the floor. As he struggled to get loose, the cat claws of the bola dug into his flesh.
Catwoman made her way over to Dove and Hawk, looking a bit concerned. "You all right big boy? I'm sure you can more than that, I've seen you in action."
It was than Selena tapped the communicator within her mask and contacted Barbara. "Barb, it's Kitty. I'm not sure what's been going on while I've been gone, but I brought a little bit of backup to the abandoned gas station. Turns out one of the Horsemen is here. Hawk took a pretty big hit, but I think he'll be all right. We're going to get this situation under control, but there are a few people I'm worried about. The breakout I heard about... Black Mask got out, didn't he? Have you heard anything on my girls? Red and Harle? "

Outsiders HQ
Barbara breathed a sigh of relief at hearing Selena's voice, but the next few words dispelled that. "Harley and Ivy had a run-in with Bane. Harley's fine, just scared, but I don't know Ivy's condition... she held Bane off to let Harley get away, it sounds like. Reed should be either there or almost there now; waiting on a report from him, but if it's Bane he's confronting, I don't expect to get one until he's done. Which Horseman do you have?"
Gas Station
Hawk started to pull himself to his feet. "Gatorboy hits hard... you say he's a Horseman? Like, one of those Revelationy M-Fers working for Darkseid?" He smirked. "Don't look like War, though... probably won't be near as much fun."
The two Batmen gazed at each other a moment, then nodded. The taller spun, unleashing a strong kick to one of the rising lupines, while the shorter moved with Robin toward Famine, flanking the Horseman. Famine lashed out with a claw, only to find that arm caught in one of Batwoman's grapnel lines. He growled and pulled, and Batwoman held the line until it was just short of breaking, spikes firing from the backs of her boots to dig into the concrete and anchor her in place, then released the line, throwing Famine off-balance and directly into a punch from Hawk. The shorter Batman dove down, he and Robin delivering chop-blocks to the backs of Famine's knees. Famine went down, just in time for the taller Batman to step into place over him, a small aerosol can with a bat-shaped head on it appearing in his hand. "Blind as a bat." He pressed down on the top of it, releasing a mixture of peppers and iridium into Famine's nose and eyes, destroying his divine invulnerability and blinding him.
Gotham U, Old Theater
Ivy looked up. "Never thought I'd be this glad to see one of you people." Then she turned, just in time to catch sight of Master Shiv coming back in. "Not going to get surprised again today." She shifted into a low fighting stance, waiting for Shiv to approach.
Bane gazed at Reed. "Looks like we've reached the main event here, doesn't it?" He tensed his muscles, sending more of the Venom serum shooting into them, his bulk seeming to almost double before Reed's eyes. "I've got a better measure of you now... but I still don't know exactly how to break you. Still, I've been looking forward to seeing you again." He glanced at the Batmobile. "Nice wheels, by the way. At least you've got style." He then lifted the long table and threw it effortlessly at Reed.

The Gas Station
"Famine." Catwoman replied over her communicator to Barbara as Famine wildly brought himself to his feet, thrashing and knocking the taller Batman aside.
"Hey, Hungry Hippo! Kitty's got a treat for you." Catwoman called. Famine turned towards the noise instinctivly since he could not see, his jaws open wide. Than, moving with the speed she had in her youth, Catwoman met his advance with her outstretched Bast rod, shoving it straight down his throat. Famine was startled for a moment, so didn't immediately bite. Oh god this is disgusting. She thought to herself as she mustered the courage to shout out "Ra--Heeem!"
A green light shone through the Gator-faced horseman's skin as the rod charged. Right as Famine had collected his thoughts and was about to clamp down his jaws on Selena's offered arm, the green light expanded and there was an awful boom that echoed through the room and sent little pieces of Famine to every corner of the Gas Station. After the light died down, Selena was still standing there, her arm outstretched, and a look of determination on her face.
She turned to the others and frowned. "This is going to take forever to get out of my costume."
Gotham U
Reed jumped over the table effortlessly, and charged straight into one of Bane's punches.
Taking it with a grin, Reed was forced back, through the table that was still in the air and crashed into the wall. His harness beeped, and Reed still grinned. "Nice arm you've got there. Nice to know you've kept up with your workouts."
Bane smirked, and went to where Reed was, grabbing him by the ankles and throwing him towards the Batmobile. "Been saving myself just for you."
Luckily, Bane's throw had been high so Reed slammed into the wall behind the Batmobile leaving quite an impression. "I'm glad I didn't scratch the paint." He muttered to himself. This time he waited inside the rubble, knowing Bane would come looking for him. Soon enough,
Reed heard the heavy footsteps and than suddenly sprung up, bringing his fist to Bane's Jaw and sending the huge villain straight towards the ceiling and into the rafters with a rather sore jaw. Possibly broken.
He's hitting harder.. Bane's mind registered as he fought to get himself free from the curtain riggings he had gotten caught up in. His jaw ached something fierce, but it would take more than that to stop Bane.
Reed had lost visual of Bane while Bane was in the upper rafters, and was now walking slowly in cirlces attempting to see any movement. Damn theater and its crappy lights. Maybe since Batman let me borrow the Batmobile, Superman will loan me his supervision? He glimpsed at Ivy, who had half way ensnared Mr. Shiv, and though he was escaping the vines, it looked like she was holding her own pretty well. During his moment of distration, Bane had freed himself from the rigging and was walking precariously over the rafters, watching Reed below as if he was a hawk circling his pray. Suddenly, Bane jumped, bringing his foot into contact with Reed's face and sending him through the stage floor. He than grabbed both of Reed's hands and headbutted the Scottish werewolf right in the forehead. Their faces dangerously close, Reed could see every evil line that formed Bane's smirk.
While Bane's hulking body was pining him within the floor, Reed thought quickly about what to do. He didn't have room to move or punch, but the enery charged just didn't go to his arm muscles, did it? Would it perhaps work.... with his JAW muscles?
A grin broke out on Reed's face. "What you smilin' about, Red? I've got you where I want yo...." Bane's gloating was cut off as he watched Reed's jaw enlongate and his gleaming fangs grow sharper and more vicious. "What the.." Bane barely had time to say as Reed lunged his face forward, clamping his now mighty jaws on Bane's face and crunching down hard.
Bane immediately let out a scream of pain as he pulled his face out of Reed's grasp, letting go of the man's hands in the process. Not a single scar, smirk or line was visible on Bane's face any longer, as Reed's chomp had taken the man's nose, broken his sinuses and ripped a good bit of flesh from Bane's mouth, exposing the teeth and gums beneath.
Reed followed up his bite with a strong punch to the chin again, causing Bane to stumble a little and allow Reed to climb out of the hole. "Ma... Ma faase.."Bane muttered, his eyes glowing angry, as he turned them to focus once again on Reed. "Ou.. bit.. ma.. faase!"
"Indeed I did. Its a good look for you." Reed commented as he dodged Bane's thrashing arms as Bane himself pulled himself out of the hole. He than charged Reed, finally causing the man to come in contact with the Batmobile, seriously scratching the paint. "Damn it, I'm going to have to pay for that."
Bane just leered in silence, keeping control of Reed while he had the chance. He grabbed Reed's face and slammed it into the Batmobile's armour, over and over again. And suddenly, Bane noticed Reed had a nose bleed.
Bane's grin was the ugliest thing Reed had ever seen, but Reed did not have time to mull that over as he felt a sharp pain in his face, like when patients describe a broken nose. Bane grabbed Reed's neck, and threw him into the theater seats. Reed's harness beeped as usually, the energy was getting stored, but now... Reed was sore. He tried to stand, and was greeted with a sharp pain at his side. Glancing at it he noticed a large purple bruise was forming.
Barb was right.. I do have a limit. Nice to know. Reed thought to himself as he trained his eyes on Bane who was lumbering towards him. I've got to end this, before he realizes how close he's gotten. If he hadn't realized already..
Looking up with Bane was almost upon him, Reed noticed ropes hanging from the rafters that were still intact. Mustering up his strength, Reed lept up, away from Bane's grasping hands, and grabbed onto one of the ropes. He hauled himself into the rafters, trying to buy himself a little time like Bane had done before. "Shit. This hurts." He muttered. His broken nose had seemed to right itself already, but his side was still throbbing and his muscles were beginning to ache.
"Well..if ouse gonna .... hiiii-de.... A'll ust go for the girl" Bane remarked from below, training his eyes on Ivy now. Shiv had somehow disappeared, and no longer seemed to be with in the theater. Ivy's eyes went wide with horror as she saw Bane's new face approaching her.
"Hands off mister!" She reaching into her pocket and pulling out a bit of acidic pollen. She timed it right, and blew the pollen into Bane's bleeding face, causing it to burn worse than habanero peppers. Bane threw his hands to his face again after letting out another scream. Taking this moment as the moment to strike, Reed leapt down, landing about Bane's head and shoulders.
"Sorry, no hitting pretty women while I'm here. Villainess or no." Reed yelled as he brought his mighty fist down onto the center of Bane's venom pack, causing it to explode. Bane thrashed immediately, sending Reed back into the wall, than the man fled through the hole Reed had made to enter the building.
It was than Reed contacted Barbara.
"Hey, hun? Bane escaped, but he has no face and I damaged his venom packs. The girl is fine, what a fighter! But um... I can't feel my legs at the moment so could you send a car? And apologize to Batman for me, I seem to of dinged the Batmobile's finish just a tad... Yeah? Thanks." And than Reed fell unconcious.

A Few Hours Later Blackhawk Mansion
Harley and Ivy rushed over when they saw Selena enter. Harley leapt up and hugged Catwoman. "Kitty! We were so worried!" She then jumped backward when she saw the two Batmen. "I ain't done nothin' this time! Been clean since I got let out! I promise!"
The shorter Batman smirked. "I think we can accept that, this time. If you'll put back the picture frame you pocketed as we were coming in."
Harley sulked a moment then went to replace the frame, and Ivy laughed. "It's been too long, Catwoman." She turned her eyes on the taller Batman. "You too. As odd as it's going to sound... I've missed you." She turned her gaze on the buffet table. "But, if you'll excuse me, I need to go make sure that the lettuce was harvested properly. Catwoman, look me up later?"
A moment later, Barbara rolled over to them, smiling to Catwoman, clasping her hand tightly and speaking softly. "Missed you, Selena." She then turned toward the taller Batman, reached out, and pulled herself up to hug him tightly, not letting go for well over two minutes and whispering with him the entire time, and when she lowered back into her chair her eyes were stained in tears and she looked to Catwoman again. "Thank you." She turned and saw Robin and Batwoman helping Reed in. "Excuse me." She made her way over to Reed, Batwoman, and Robin, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Reed." She smiled. "You did well. And we're going to breakfast once things are done here." She looked up into his eyes. "I was worried."
Batgirl found Jack near the punch. "Hey... how'd the night go for you?"

Blackhawk Mansion
Selena's heart was filled with joy to see that Harley and Ivy had come through the night all right, and to see Bruce finally reunited with the people who cared about him most. After Barbara made her way over to Reed, Selena withdrew herself from the two Batmen and the crowd that seemed to be forming around them. She would have time to be with Bruce later. There was no reason to crowd him now.
She made her way into the living area, and saw Raheem sitting at the feet of Claire, now Osprey. Selena smiled, than knelt down on her knees and called very softly "Here, kitty kitty."
Raheem was tired after three consecutive nights of human biting, so he had decided just to chill out by Claire as she talked about the night with Hawk, Dove, Canary and Huntress.
Suddenly, he heard a soft call. Here, kitty kitty. It was his Selena! She was back! His ears immediately perked up, and he pulled himself to his feet so fast he startled Claire. He turned his head anxiously to see Catwoman kneeling down, her arms open and waiting for him with a smile on her face.
My Selena! The overjoyed tiger charged towards her, tackling her to the ground and covering her face in tiger kisses. Selena couldn't help but laugh at Raheem's enthusiasm. She hugged her bengal friend around his fuzzy neck as he backed off a little to allow her to stand up.
"I'm proud of you boy. Heard you really protected my friends when I couldn't be there." Selena said, tears forming in her eyes as she looked into the eyes of the tiger. Sobbing a little, she threw her arms around his neck again and buried her face within his fluffy fur. "I missed you Raheem. I am so sorry for disappearing like that... I just had to go immediately or I might of lost the chance..." She glanced up at Bruce, who was still talking to Dick and Damien.
Raheem looked at Selena with sympathetic eyes, placing a paw on her back as if to hug her and give her comfort. "Things are going to change, kitten. We're going to be moving to Wayne Manor soon. So it won't be just me, you and the kitties any more." She pulled herself away from the tiger, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand like a child. "I'm sorry... I don't know why I'm crying..."
Raheem placed a paw on her lap, and seemed to smile. My Selena. My Selena is happy. My Selena is also worried if I am happy. If My Selena is happy, than I am happy. Much has happened, you've retrieved your mate. It is okay to cry.
Reed looked at Barbara as she looked up at him so earnestly. Without giving it much thought, he pulled himself away from Batwoman and Robin, and leaned down, kissing Barbara square on the mouth infront of everyone. A moment later he pulled away, and looked at her with tiredness in his eyes. "Come sit on the couch with me? Let me use your lap as a pillow and we can tell each other about our nights." He asked softly.
Jack had been contemplating how many times during highschool and college he had been the one to spike the punch bowl when Batgirl walked up. He greeted her with a grin. "Why, if it isn't my prison breakout partner. My night went fine, shoulder's a little sore but nothing to complain about." He had his left arm in a brace now, to keep pressure off of his shoulder. A brace he should of been wearing since he received the injury but didn't lend itself too well to extreme crime fighting. "Glad to see the prettiest of the Bats made it out of this all right. At least, I assume you're the prettiest. I haven't seen any of you... Four is it now? Out of your masks so I can't really say for sure. But you have a good mind and a sweet voice, which makes for good company after a night like tonight. So tell me, why the cape and cowl? Why not join law enforcement?" He asked as he poured them both a glass of punch.
Red Robin had noticed Bruce walk in, and had smiled knowingly when he met his eyes, but he had decided to give Bruce some space as well. Besides, there were other things he wanted to attend too. Grabbing two glasses of bubbling champagne from the table of drinks, he found Seelie sitting in a window seat, looking out onto the manor's lawn.
"Care for some company?" He asked with a grin as he offered her one of the glasses of champagne. Tim sat down next to her and looked out the window as well. "Rough couple of nights huh? Glad its all over, and I'm glad you're all right. I think there is going to be a lot of celebrating over the next few days, Gotham needs it. Looks like your friend Reed could use the rest." He coughed a little, his cheeks flushing nervously. "Hey, listen. I know this new little club that draws a rather sober crowd but is great for dancing. I was wondering if you would... I mean... Not Seelie... whoever Seelie is underneath..." His face was fully red now and he shook his head. "Do you think you would be interested in going with me one night? Someday soon?"
Claire watched Raheem charge over to Selena and giggled before turning back to the other Birds of Prey. "He is certainly happy to see her home." She kept to herself that she had put two and two together and had figured out who the woman behind the cat ears was. She hadn't quite deciphered who knew exactly what about who yet and didn't want to step on any toes. Instead she turned to the Birds of Prey, looking at them eagerly as she clutched a can of rootbeer in her hands. "So tell me Canary, what is Green Arrow like? I've seen pictures of him from newspapers and he looks so dreamy."

Downtown Gotham
Jim Gordon entered the front door to his fifth floor apartment, his tie already removed from his neck. It had been a long couple of days down at the precinct, with the dual prison breaks, Gordon himself had just finished processing a few caped baddies that had been left on the police department's front steps in a big green bow. Sure, Gordon had an idea of who it was who had caputered those guys. He just wasn't sure if he could fully trust them yet. They might be turning over a new leaf, certainly they hadn't come up over the police radio since they were last released. Still, regardless of whether or not he trusted them, they had acted on the right side of the law in this situation and that earned them a smidgeon of Gordon's respect.
Dropping his keys on the entryway table, he was greeted by his large cat Carlos. The silvery gray fellow was at his heels, a toy catnip mouse in his mouth. "Busy day for you too, Carlos?" Jim asked conversationally as he leaned down to scratch the cat between his ears. He had to admit that the cat made his home a lot less lonely. Carlos was also a constant reminder of the good friends his daughter Barbara has been making as of late. That Selena Kyle. There is something familiar about her, Gordon couldn't quite place it. He just knew that Kyle was one of the biggest philantropists Gotham had, and Gotham has certainly profitted from it. Humans and felines alike. It was a shame that Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle seemed to be no longer together. He always thought they were very movie staresque when they appeared in the society pages.
Moving to the kitchen now, Gordon got a can of Fancy Feast off the shelf, and spooned it into Carlos' dish like he did every night for dinner. Tonight's menu was Salmon Fillet. He than reached into the cubboard and pulled out the coffee and began to make a fresh pot. Barbara. He really did miss her. He was constantly trying to think of ways for them to see more of each other, but with both of them having such hectic lives it was sometimes tough.
I wonder if she's still seeing that Owen boy. He pondered as he poured hot coffee into a World's Best Dad mug he has had for years. I'll need to ask Barbara about that. He's a good kid. A surgeon. And you can tell by the look on his face he is crazy about her. I'll mention it to her. Say I saw the Reeds at the market. Don't want her to think I was prying.
Jim Gordon took his coffee to his living room where he kicked off his shoes and grabbed the remote before plopping onto the couch. Above his TV were family pictures of Barbara growing up, some of his late wife. Carlos jumped into Jim's lap and pawed at the remote.
"Yeah, Yeah. I know what you want to watch. Hold on." Jim complained with gruffness he didn't feel as he clicked on the television and turned the channel to an old western movie. Than he and Carlos spent the rest of the evening watching old John Wayne flicks, just two old fellas sitting on the couch. It was a good ending to the day.

Oracle smiled as the kiss ended, lifting her fingers to her lips contemplatively, then nodded. "Push me over there?" She touched Reed's arm lightly.
Batgirl sipped her punch. "I'm not really very good with rules... I mean, I follow the big ones fine, but the little administrative things? Tend to stumble over them. I'm also not a great detective. Oracle usually handles that end of things for me, or Red Robin when we're working together. As for seeing me without my mask... this afternoon, Luther's Diner?"
Question had seen Batwoman enter the room with the two Batmen, and retreated into the kitchen, only to be stopped on her way by Robin. "Cowardice doesn't look good on you, no-face."
Question paused. "What do you mean?"
"You're running from something. You shouldn't be. You don't have powers, and you don't have the kind of skills I have, but you were out there in this fight just as deep as anyone. There's courage in you; tap into it."
Question shook her head. "You know, it's infuriating to be lectured by a kid."
"Think what it feels like to be the kid who has to lecture. Confront your fear."
Question turned her head toward Batwoman and sighed. "It's never easy with an ex, even when you've found someone else."
"Wouldn't know. Don't really care."
"You're a little jerk, you know that?"
"Yep." Robin made his way over and started picking out red jellybeans from a bowl, and Question sighed. I should probably talk to her. We can't keep avoiding each other forever, and she might want to know how my life's going. I want to know how hers is. Question started making her way toward Batwoman.
Seelie grinned at Red Robin's offer. "You know... that actually sounds really good." She looked around. "You keep any paper in your utility belt? My costume has a distinct lack of pockets."

Reed nodded, and took the back of her chair in his hands and rolled her over to the empty couch. He helped her as much as she needed to move from chair to couch, and once she was comfortable, he laid down on his back with his head in her lap so he could look up at her face. "Have you ever driven the Batmobile? Its amazing. Handles like a dream, but damn I was afraid to push half of the buttons inside. " While he spoke softly he took one of her hands, intertwined his fingers in hers and laid their hands on his chest.
Jack grinned slightly. "I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Besides, half of the officers and detectives at the precinct don't give a damn about paperwork either. Though... I don't think I would want you at the precinct. Would make it even harder for the boys to focus." He took a sip of his punch, and contemplated her offer of Luther's Diner. "Sure, only if you let it be my treat? Say about one o'clock? They have a killer lunch menu."
Selena finally broke herself away from Raheem, who looked quite pleased and was purring rather loudly. After taking out a small mirror to make sure her eyes weren't red and her makeup hadn't ran, she patted the tiger on his head and he followed her back over to Bruce and Dick. When she took her place besides Bruce, she reached out and gave his hand a small squeeze before releasing it again.
"So catch me up on what we missed, Dick. Heard there was quite a party while I was gone." Selena said to the smaller Batman, a smile on her lips he hadn't seen in quite awhile.
Red Robin broke out in a wide grin. "Yeah, I have a pen and paper.... I also have these." He handed her a business card that read "Tim Wayne - future executive" followed by his home and cell-phone number all written in dark red letters and the Wayne Corp sigil stamped on the side. "Cheesy, I know. But I kind of like them." He handed her a pen and a notepad so she could jot down her number. "In case you hadn't figured it out by now, my name's Tim."

"Not the current Batmobile... the second, I think." Barbara smiled, resting her head on his lap. "Though there have been enough of them that it might have been the third. The one with a grille in the shape of Batman's cowl? I used that as my primary vehicle for a while. And not pushing the buttons tends to be a good idea... my first time driving the Batmobile, I tried to turn on the air conditioner and ended up ejecting Robin."
Stephanie grinned. "I'll never turn down a free meal from a handsome cop. It's a date." She folded her hands behind her back and smiled to Jack.
Bruce squeezed Selena's hand as Dick caught them both up on recent events. When Dick was done, Bruce rested his free hand on his protege's shoulder. "You handled things well, Dick. I... think you should continue to handle them. I have a lot of adjusting to do, and right now, I think you'd be the better Batman." He turned his eyes on Selena. "I think I also have a lot of living to do..."

Reed chuckled slightly, imagining someone in Robin's costume being ejected from the Batmobile. "I'm glad I was smart enough not to touch any buttons." He laid his head back on the top of the couch, his voice getting softer as he became sleepier. "Hey... Barb?" He asked in an almost asleep tone. "...can I call you my girlfriend?" Before Barbara could answer, Reed's eyes had closed, and he had fallen asleep.

Jack grinned. "Sounds great. But I've got to catch a nap and a shower. You see I have this date today, and I kind of want to impress the lady." He walked over to Stephanie, leaned down and kissed her cheek. "See you later. Don't forget." He winked before walking off and heading home.
----
Selena returned Bruce's gaze and smiled sweetly. "Perhaps its time we go home? I'm sure Alfred is anxious to see you, and I've got movers to call."

Wayne Manor
Butler had been within earshot of Alfred when he took Master Tim's call. Though Butler could not understand the human language, it is so much more complicated than the feline one, the gray cat was attuned to the slight changes of pitch in Alfred's voice. And when the pitch changed ever so slightly during the conversation, Butler knew good things were to come. It was the voice that Alfred used when he had bought home a new box of kitty treats. Butler was fond of the wet morsels.
Jumping off of the amoire he had been resting on, Butler followed Alfred down the hall as he headed towards the master suite. Odd, Butler couldn't help but think, this wasn't the day or the time that Alfred usually dusted and changed the bedding. Even more odd, the door had been pushed open several inches when Butler knew it had been closed fully earlier that day.
"Making yourselves at home, are you?" Alfred said in a slightly chastising tone that didn't fool Butler one bit. The man was still happy. But who was he talking too.... Ah there it was. Butler stuck his nose in the air and caught the scent trails of the three other cats that had taken up residence in Wayne Manor since Selena Kyle's penthouse apartment had been trashed. Butler jumped up on the trunk that was kept at the foot of the bed, wrapping his tail around his feet as he settled himself like a proper gentleman.
He noticed immediately that Duchess, Indiana and Isis had somehow pulled down the covers on the left side of the bed, and were sprawled out on the sheets. Butler tsked slightly. What rude felines. Getting their hair all over the dear departed master's bedding.... wait. Butler glanced at Alfred.
Alfred was just puttering around the room, straightening pictures and humming to himself. "It will be nice to have a woman around again, won't it, Butler?" Alfred asked as he noticed the cat's gaze.
A woman? Butler asked himself. Could it be Selena? The one who had rescued him and brought him home to Alfred? He glanced back at the cats on the bed. They were hers. Maybe they knew something he didn't.
"A year absence was a good thing for Master Bruce. He seems to of finally gotten his priorities in order." Alfred continued as he opened up Bruce's wardrobe and removed a set of silk pajamas and laid them on the right side of the bed. Almost like a mother leaving her son's clothes out for school.
"The west wing will need some refurbishing, no doubt. Especially the large game room she plans on turning into Raheem's." Alfred said, as he gazed out the window and than opened the doors to the balcony. Stepping outside, Butler jumped off his perch and followed him. The old man was gazing down at the Manor's impressive grounds. "We should have enough space for Raheem to run and maintain his health. The guard dogs will welcome the company. Though perhaps I should talk to the landscaper about enlarging the pond to a lake, and adding a small river?" Alfred looked down at the cat by his ankles, as if asking his opinion.
"Meowr." Butler replied. It all sounded very good to him. He was fond of Selena, what feline wasn't? And Raheem was like a big brother to him. A gentle giant almost. Butler was sure the rest of the humans would welcome Selena, especially if what Alfred had implied was true. That his mysterious master Bruce Wayne would be returning. He knew Selena loved Bruce. He was her chosen mate. And from picking up bits and pieces of dialogue between Alfred and that red headed woman that smelt like a cat half the time, Butler had also figured out that Bruce loved Selena as well, but was a little reluctant accepting it.
Butler couldn't imagine anyone not want to accept love. Butler looked forward to the day he would meet another feline and perhaps father kittens. Though, Alfred had opted not to neuter him, Butler had been told time and time again to be responsible for any kittens he fathered. Like Bruce was to Damien.
Damien. Butler's fur went on end and his tail puffed just thinking about that boy. Damien had not been pleased when Butler, and than the other cats moved in. He did not seem fond of Selena. He was also a terror to try to get to do his homework. Time and time again Butler would secretly knock things over in whatever room Damien was slacking off in until the boy was spooked enough to return to business. Now things will be easier. Raheem could do the threatening.
Alfred and Butler returned inside, Butler jumping up on the bed and joining the three other cats.
"Keep their bed warm, kittens. They will be needing it soon." Alfred said before switching off the lights and closing the door behind him.
